2010 OUR YEAR TO MANIFEST DOMINION WISDOM

To know what to do, why you do it, and when to do it- is wisdom. We say that wisdom is the right (the appropriate) application of knowledge in order to glorify God. When God is glorified, we are blessed individually and corporately because God’s blessing is all encompassing. A true follower of God cannot be blessed while others around him or her suffer or languish. When God blesses you, he makes you a blessing. To father Abraham, God said “…I will bless thee and make thy name great and make you a blessing.”  Genesis 12:2b.

There are many in our world that know what to do. Knowledge or skill is not lacking in our generation. “Abundance of know how” would be a good name for the “21st century.” We have greatly advanced in our generation than any before us. But we are the most impoverished because the why aspect of knowledge application is woefully misplaced. The why aspect is centered on self, pride, arrogance, greed and rejection of God’s purpose for creating us. Take the simple purpose question-“Why do you get up and go to work everyday?” The self- centered man will say for “food, shelter, and clothing” because that is how we were socialized to respond and that is what we seek for.

Kingdomly speaking, that purpose is completely wrong. Jesus had established that “…these things do the gentiles (unbelievers) seek for but your heavenly Father knows that you have need of these things. When we consider the Word of our Lord and King according to Matthew 6:33 and guide ourselves in its light, then wisdom will be manifested. This understanding will bring about true blessing that will not die with us or end with a nuclear family but explode to bless the world. True knowledge, wisdom, and understanding (KWU), is answering the why question. The right application of knowledge will free us to magnify God.

Genesis 12:2; Matthew 6:2-34
